A study published in the International Journal of Nuclear Governance, Economy and Ecology suggests that significant problems that cannot be overcome prevent nuclear power from being used to reduce climate change emissions.
According to physicist Joshua Pearce, each step in the current process contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and unless production increases by more than 10% per year by 2050, an unsustainable prospect, new nuclear power plants will feed off of existing plants rather than actually generating energy.
In the study, Pierce warns that the limit of ore grade to offset greenhouse gas emissions is significantly higher than the purely thermodynamic limit set by energy payback times.
Pierce’s whole-of-life cycle analysis suggests that nuclear power is far from the “emission-free panacea” claimed by many proponents.

This was proved LONG ago by Jan Willem Storm van Leeuwen and Philip Bartlett Smith YET these two men were ignored and shunned as fools the the disgusting nuclear industry. The proof is out there WHEN WILL PEOPLE listen ???? or do we have to keep doing the same studies every few years which ALL give the same results and conclusions ??? This nonsense has got to stop and the nuclear industry with all their lies must be stopped.
