CANE - Coalition Against Nuclear Energy South Africa

1 CANE has formed a provisional committee to organize the formal launch meeting of CANE. If you support the objectives of CANE and are prepared to give of your time and knowledge to work together to see them achieved and would like to attend the launch on 12 April 2008 in Bloemfontein, you are invited to contact us. Space is limited and only those who have received a written confirmation from us should attend. If you can be representative of, for example, the people living around one of the proposed existing or proposed nuclear power, enrichment or waste disposal sites, or an organization such as Earthlife Africa, this will count in your favour. To reduce the chance of the presence of any disruptive elements, the meeting is not open to the public. Please do not arrive without a copy of the written confirmation from us.

The office bearers will be elected at the launch and if you have anyone you would like to suggest for nomination, find out if they are prepared to stand and if they agree, please tell us who they are.

Should you need financial support to attend please let us know. We will do so if possible.
